Today, I set up a Facebook page and already have contacted several old friends from High School that I haven't talked to in years. It's great to here from them.
These are a couple of pics I actually found on someones site. Be kind. Remember they were taken way back when and the quality is poor.
This first one is from High School Graduation. I am on the far right.
This second one is from some basketball game. Here, I am in the middle. Don't ask me why we were wearing shorts. Basketball season is usually pretty cold around here.
I don't know if I have ever seen either one of these pictures, ever. Do you think they look 25 years old? You're darn tootin'!
So far, this particular resolution has been a wise one and I can't wait to see what kind of stuff will be showing up. Beware some (or should I say all) of the pictures from back in the day will probably be of the same quality. It really shows my age.
How many out there still keep up with old friends?
I can't believe we drank the Facebook Kool-Aid.
ReplyDeleteHaha you mean you don't like readin' about arts, crafts, antiques, and bra's? Yeah me neither...now i just gotta find something to write about
ReplyDeleteWhat is it with you and this age thing? You want me to say you look old as dirt? Or you look like you have been run over by a truck? (that happens when you over alcohol yourself right?) I cant wait for you to get soooo old that you finally say,"Damn I look good for an old dude and I sing too!"
ReplyDeleteYou look like a million bucks CB and glad you found some friends to grow old with. Enjoy it! Friends are priceless! Keep working on those New Years Resolutions...they are very becoming!
OHMAHGAH I have a Facebook post coming at some point in the next few days. Where is the prom picture of you and BHE?
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm SO glad you have a boy to play with now! Oh wait ... that didn't sound the way I meant it.
I recognize those W. P. colors! Happy b-day a day late and a dollar short but I've been suffering over here in mathews with a bad computer shituation.
ReplyDeleteI'm on Facebook - it's a GREAT way to reconnect with old friends and to keep in touch with new ones. Be careful, though, it is addicting!
Happy b-day again.
one of my friends convinced me to get (no, actually signed me up for Facebook) and I was amazed at how many of old high school friends are on there.
ReplyDeleteIts a great site.
But to answer your question...I try to keep up with my friends...and the net certainly makes that easier. I still speak weekly to my best friends from high school....fairly often to my friends from college. And anytime I travel to a place I know an old friend lives, I do my best to make time and see them.
Hahaha...shorts, I am wondering why you were wearing sunglasses. Oh wait, I know, you were COOL!!(I grew up in the same era). Is this where the name Cool Breeze originated from? Inquiring minds.
ReplyDeleteI recently joined face book too and have been in contact with people I hadn't even thought about since graduation. Some of my request baffle me. Oh well, it has all been worth it.
I signed up for Facebook several months ago just so I could visit my granddaughter and daughter's pages....I just went back and all i have are several messages accusing me of never visiting my page. I deleted it....I don't have time to blog, handle my emails and do Facebook.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, you were mighty cute back then. This has been a banner week for me (and probably others) with all your hot pictures. Looks like you were smart too!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY A DAY LATE.SORRY....I THINK YOU AND YOUR PRECIOUS WIFE ARE BOTH DOLLS...ANN
ReplyDeleteBelated happy birthday! I got pulled in by Facebook, too, and have reconnected with friends I absolutely can't remember.
ReplyDeleteP.S. WHY IN THE WORLD do you have a Jeff Gordon widgit? Show some class. Think Kasey Kahne...
ReplyDeleteUmmm, Love ya Checkered, but that would be Dale Earnhardt Junior, please!!!
ReplyDeleteI had a facebook to spy on my kids...they deleted my page one night when I walked away from my computer.
Great photos!!
